Jaxson Denver Grubbs, 14, born on November 24, 2009 in New Castle, IN passed away unexpectedly from a diving accident on June 6, 2024. Loved and raised by Jenny Grubbs and Chuck Johnson, who survive.
Survivors also include biological father, Braden Grubbs; siblings, Taylor (Bryce) Pinkard, Makiya Grubbs, (Damion) and Kole Grubbs (Savannah) all of New Castle; aunt, Danielle (Justin) Malicoat, and cousins, Adalyn, Cora and Nyla of Noblesville; special nieces, Hadley Hinsley and Oaklyn; great grandmother, Dana Wilson of Rushville; several aunts, uncles and cousins along with special friends, Scott and Amy Smith.
Additionally, survived by biological mother, Lindsey McDaniel (Wes); sister, Katie Crabtree; grandmother, aunt, and cousins.
Jaxson was preceded in death by grandfather, Denver Grubbs Jr., great-grandmother, Janet Grubbs and great-grandfather, Richard Wilson.
Jaxson just completed his 8th grade year at New Castle Middle School. With a carefree spirit, he was fun, kind-hearted, witty, often a prankster and loved by so many. He was happiest being around his friends and family.
Jaxson had a passion and commitment to the game of baseball. He played on many teams with many coaches and was always chosen for the All-Star teams. His natural talent and skill were recognized early on. He could play any position, but excelled at shortstop and was most known for his mean, side arm pitching. He left his mark on this community and beyond and will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Keep smiling that beautiful smile, sweet boy.
Rest in Heaven, buddy!
