Send FlowersKatrina Marie (Grammer) Boat-right, 52, of New Castle, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 15, 1972, in Columbus. Katrina graduated from Columbus East High School and was a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a homemaker who raised her three boys. She was a member of the Community Chapel Church.
Katrina enjoyed BINGO, watching racing at Mt. Lawn Speedway where her favorite drivers were Adam and Megan Lee 123 and Darrell and Trey Thompson #9 and #5 and the Speedrome. She liked fishing, shopping and especially Karaoke. Katrina had a special love for butterflies.
Katrina is survived by sons: Joshua (Anna) Knight, John (Brandi Slavey) Boatright, James (fiancé Samantha Mead) Boatright, grandchildren: Zachary Latou, Jeremiah Latou, Kaleb Shain, Clifford Drew, Jr., Trinity Drew and Lexy Slavey; father Ray Grammer, fiancé Jack Rose, siblings Chris (Angie) Grammer and Tammy (Mark) Ashcroft as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Katrina was preceded in death by her mother Charlene Ely, brother Charles R. Grammer, step-mother Linda "Nana" Grammer, grandparents Charles and Nellie Grammer, grandparents John and Chris Stump, aunt Gail Grammer
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 20, at Rose City Funeral Home 2011 Broad St., New Castle. A funeral to celebrate Katrina's life will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Elizabethtown United Methodist Church 200 Washington St., Elizabethtown, with calling from 12 p.m. until the funeral begins. Burial will take place at Sand Creek Friends Cemetery Elizabethtown.
Memorial contributions in Katrina's memory may be made to Epilepsy Foundation of Indiana 1100 W 42nd St. Ste 140, Indianapolis, IN 46112.

I went to elementary school with Katrina. She was always such a sweet girl that I never forgot. Rest in peace Katrina.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Katrina was very loved and I always appreciated the gifts for me and the baby she and Jack would give us. The building hasn't been the same since they moved and we will miss and love her always!!!
