Marion Ivy Phelps, 90, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at his daughter's home in Crestwood. He was a member of the Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Ivy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Laura Kathryn (Brown) Phelps; his sons, Kevin and Chris Phelps; and two brothers.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Phelps) Hillyard, and his son, Marion Anthony "Tony" Phelps. He also leaves behind three brothers, Bill Phelps, Darrell "Buzz" Phelps, and Doug Phelps; and two sisters, Nancy Carroll (Phelps) Huffstutter and Margie Carner. two grandsons, Joshua Hillyard and Seth (Jessica) Hillyard of Louisville; and seven great-grandchildren..
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2025, at Morgan's Funeral Home with Curtis Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Rowland Cemetery in Fredonia.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2025, at Morgan's Funeral Home with 7 p.m. Masonic rites.
