Patty Conley, 83, of Spiceland, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. She was born on April 3, 1942, in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Howard and Zada (Daffon) Wieneke.
Patty was known for her warm heart and outgoing spirit. To her, a stranger was simply a friend she hadn't met yet. She was deeply devoted to her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, Nannie, and friend. Patty especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and could often be found enjoying a shopping trip or sharing stories with loved ones.
A 1959 graduate of Greenfield High School, Patty also attended Smyrna Baptist Church in Spiceland, where her faith and sense of community were important parts of her life.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Tom Conley of Spiceland; children, Cindy (Robert) Blake of Spiceland, and Chad (Julie) Conley of Spiceland; grandchildren, Jordan Berry of Indianapolis, Matthew Conley of Spiceland, Rebekah Conley of New Castle, Lindsey Blake (Daniel Miller) of New Castle; great-granddaughter, Lillian Berry; brother-in-law, James (Sonja) Conley of Luray, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Berry; siblings, Bill Wieneke, Willadean Wiggins, Ray Wieneke, Gene Wieneke, and Wayne Wieneke.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 19 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
