Peggy J. Scholl, 85, of Spiceland passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born on March 1, 1938, in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Dean Shoemaker and Faye Ewing.
Peggy was a 1956 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and worked for Scotten Hinshaw Law Firm for over 30 years. She was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church and most recently New Lisbon Christian Church. Peggy enjoyed painting, camping, fishing and spending time outdoors in her beautiful flower garden.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Jeffrey Wayne (Belinda) Scholl and David "Mike" (Ronda) Scholl; four grandchildren, Lana (Chuck) Brenneman, Jessica (Greg) Springer, Lance Scholl, and Stacie Conner; nine great-grandchildren, Larissa Brenneman, Caroline Brenneman, Nora Springer, Elijah Springer, Kaden Scholl, Carter Scholl, Taylor Conner, Ella Conner and Audrey Conner; two sisters, Barbara (Darrell) Watt and Judy (Jerry) Dishman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Mason Scholl and two siblings, Linda Davis and Larry Shoemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 23 at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Lomison officiating. Private burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
