Ronnie D. Overton, age 66, a New Castle resident, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1955, in New Castle, a son of Robert and Gladys (Terry) Overton.
Ronnie attended New Castle High School but graduated from high school in California. Ronnie worked in Maintenance at Walmart in New Castle for several years. He loved Walmart, singing Karaoke, and impersonating Elvis Presley. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his loving memory include his wife, Rose (White) Overton; four beloved children, Ronnie (Denise) Overton, Jr., Buddy (Karen) White, Jennifer White, Stephen White; four siblings, Johnny (JoAnn) Griffin, Joe Griffin, Carol Dugger, and Jim (Gail) Overton; 13 grandchildren; two nephews, Mark (Kelly) Williams, Doug (April) Williams; one niece, Sissy (Rex) Sneed; a sister-in-law, Mary Martt. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gladys Overton; a son, Mikey White; two sisters, Colean Williams and Flonnie Arthur.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Rose City Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad St., New Castle, with Reverend Jesse Flood officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
