Todd Kevin Klotz, 64, of New Castle departed this Earth on March 4th surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness. He was born on February 15th, 1961 to Ned Sr. and Betty (Gibson) Klotz. He was a 1979 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School where he met the love of his life, Tracy Atkins, who he married on June 21st, 1980.
After high school, Todd attended Ball State University where he was extremely proud to be the Alpha Tau Omega freshman pledge class president. He worked a variety of jobs throughout the years, including an offshore oil rig off the coast of Louisiana, Hibbing Friction, Keihin, and TS Tech in New Castle. He and Tracy raised three sons, who were the light of his life. In his free time, Todd enjoyed metal detecting, panning for gold, woodworking, watching The Andy Griffith Show, and telling jokes and wild stories. He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Dale Earnhardt, and the Indiana Fever.
Todd's smile and quick wit lit up any room he walked into and he brightened the lives of those who had the privilege to be around him.
He will be sorely missed by his loving and devoted wife: Tracy; his children, who were his pride and joy: Todd Kevin "T.K." (Sergio Sanchez), Eric Michael, and Ethan Patrick (Libby) Klotz; Sisters: Cynthia (Michael) Worthington and Molly Bryan; father-in-law: Michael Atkins; sister-in-law: Gretchen Cobb; brother-in-law: Michael (Mary Lou) Atkins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He also leaves behind his beloved beagle, Mabel Jane.
In addition to his parents, he joined his brother, Ned Klotz, and his mother-in-law, Sharon Atkins, in Heaven.
The family would like to show their sincere gratitude to the staff at Henry County Memorial Hospital and Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital in Anderson for the love and compassion they have showed the Klotz Family during Todd's time there.
