Brenda Sue McElduff

1954 - 2023

Mrs. Brenda Sue McElduff, age 68, of Dahlonega, Ga., passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. She was born on August 5, 1954, in Dahlonega to the late John Henry Garrett and the late Roberta White Garrett.
Brenda was the rock of her family and will be greatly missed. She was a fighter and showed her entire family strength and courage, especially in her final months. She loved to sing, write music and poetry, and get into any mischief you could imagine. She was extremely humorous and loved a good "dirty joke." Above all, her babies were the light of her life. Her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, step-children, and adopted children will all miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Terrell "Ted" Wood; sister Alline Shoemake; grandson Devin Wood; son-in-law Wesley Fields; and dearest friend Gloria Dowdy.
She is survived by her children, David Wood of Dahlonega, Shelly (Devin) Mims of Cumming, Miranda (David) Keyton of Fort Mitchell, AL, and Nina Brooke Fields of Dahlonega; step-children Tim (Tammy) Wood, Cherrie Greer, and Bobbie Jean Tyndall; husband Tommy McElduff; grandchildren Cody Wood, Danielle Fields, Lily Kerns, David Paul Keyton, Luci Fields, Cooper Fields, Shayleigh Akins, Raegan Akins, Jaida Akins-Wood, Palyn Akins-Wood; brother and sisters, Barbara (Charles) Hyatt, Eddie (Brenda) Garrett, Freddie Garrett, Ricky Garrett, Wanda Woody, Gail Garrett, JL Garrett, and Gary (Tammy) Garrett. Three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive.
It was Brenda's wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
