Anthony DiSario Obituary
Vineland
Anthony "Andy" DiSario, Jr., of Vineland passed away at home on February 16, 2014 after a long illness with his family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Linda DiSario; his children, William DiSario and wife Betty of Millville, Brian DiSario of Vineland, Christopher DiSario of Port Norris, Lawrence DiPasquale and his wife Sherry of Sicklerville and Gina Marie DiPasquale of Williamstown; grandchildren, Anthony (AJ) DiSario, Nicholas DiSario, Samantha DiSario, Skye DiPasquale, Dylan DiPasquale and Vinny DiPasquale; brothers, Enrico Disario and his wife Susan of Cedarville and Rudy DiSario of Vineland; loving sister-in-laws, Patricia Hinton and Ginny Berg; cousin, Jackie Murphy, several nieces and nephews as well as his Gray Station Family and prior band members he has played with throughout the years.
Andy's passion after being a loving husband, father and pop-pop was his music, playing lead guitar and vocals. Over the years, Andy "Fingers" DiSario was known as the Band Master, in charge of bookings, practice sessions etc. He played with local bands up and down the coast, to name a few, Road House Flashback, Dead End Kids, Light Head and Fundsalow. He also toured with the Florida Keys Cruisers having played at the Famous "Sloppy Joe's" on Duvile Street, Key West, Florida. He would dazzle the crowds with playing lighting licks on the guitar behind his back. Andy and Zane Gray formed the Gray Station Band, which will now rest in peace with Andy and Zane on the other side. For the past sixteen years, Andy and his wife have resided in Port Norris. He owned and operated Andy's Tow & Go prior to opening Andy & Linn's Auto Sales for the past thirteen years in Port Norris. His zest for life and compassion for everyone he met will truly be missed.
The family wishes to thank all who helped at this difficult time, with a phone call, prayers etc.…A Special Thanks to: Dr. Benjamin Negin and Staff at Inspira in Vineland, Dr. Peter Federici, "a true doctor and friend" and Inspira Hospice and most of all to a friend that was there 24/7, Mr. Skip Pitts, who without his strength, compassion and devotion would have made this time unbearable. To Skip's family, Thank You for your sacrifice, we will never forget your kindness.
A Time for family and friends to gather and Celebrate Andy's Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Saint Anthony's Community Center, 430 West Wheat Rd., Vineland, NJ, 08360. Linda and the rest of the family will be available starting at 5:00 PM to greet anyone who wishes to stop by and pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, the family is honoring Andy's final wish to gather donations at the celebration for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or you can send donations to, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Anthony "Andy" DiSario. www.adamsfuneralhome.org

His hands are tired, his fingers are weak, the songs he sung are fading & meek. The courage he showed, the fake smiles he gave, was more for the kids to see he was brave. His laugh has faded, his thoughts are unclear, his body is tired yet he's still here. the light he has seen, the Lord came to call. yet his fear would not let him say good bye to us all. he needs to leave us, this we understand. Yet in his heart & soul lies to strong of a man. We sit by & wait, we tell him let go. This big hearted man always say's NO!! We can not say we understand why, all we know for sure is, it's time to say good bye.

Its been a little over a month since you passed away, its unbelieveable. I miss and love you more than ever, and I most likely can speek for us all when I say we all have our days, recently i have been trying to watch videos, to see you, hear you and watch you do what you love. I have I signed up for choir, and I have been taking German for you, I will be camping for at least a week this summer, hopefully going horse back riding, and maybe even one day going to Italy, all for you. It was our plans to do together and trust me Ill never forget. Its still going to be hard. I love you so much PoppopGuardian Angel.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Andy. I met Andy when he and the band played a benefit for me at Babe's Village Inn. He was always such a kind man. Bob was his mailman and had bought several cars off of him. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family. He will certainly be missed.

Dear Lynn, I am so very sorry with Andy's passing. What a guy!! There aren't enough good things that can be said about him, he would make people laugh and smile, just by walking in the room. Andy was an excellent musician, playing his guitar, being lead singer... he was just awesome!! (Lar & Sher's Wedding)!! Most of all, he was a big, kind, loving, man and Lynn, he loved you dearly. To all the children my heart goes out to each of them because there will never be another one like Andy. Now, tho he is out of pain, finally....., a man with so much pride, and that says so much about him, and who he was, however it is the most important thing all. But it doesn't change The emptiness that is there, I know this.
