Arthur Rease Obituary
AGE: 39 • Vineland
Arthur Fletcher Leonard Rease (Moosie), 39, of Vineland, NJ departed his life on Monday, April 14, 2014. He was born March 17, 1975 to the late Willie Ellis Rease, Sr. and Leona Harriet Rease in Bridgeton, NJ. As the last child born into the family he was coined with the nickname "Moosie Caboosie." While growing up in the Rease household, he couldn't help but develop a love for football which came natural to him. He was a beast on the football field at an early age, well into his teens. Prior to having children, one of his all-time passions was raising pit bulls.
As an adult, Moosie had a passion for helping others. He especially loved the kids in the community and was well known as "Uncle Moose." His involvement in the community also included coaching the "Colts" for the Vineland Midget Football league. If you knew Moosie, you knew for sure that he lived and enjoyed life to the fullest. His presence will be missed because he was definitely the life of the party. He will be remembered as a man with a big heart who touched the lives of many, many people.
On October 22, 1993, Moosie's life forever changed with the birth of his first child Terrell Arthur (Gook). On February 24, 1996 he welcomed his second son Tyriq Bre'Shawn and on August 26, 1999 along came his baby boy Tahjir Malcom. Moosie put nothing before his boys. He made sure that he was hands on and prepared them for life.
Moosie was predeceased by his father, Willie Ellis Rease, Sr. and Leona Harriet Rease. He leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Terrell Rease, Tyriq Rease, and Tahjir Rease all of Vineland, NJ; sister, Ramona Jones of Vineland, NJ; six brothers, Stephan Chalk and Shawn Chalk of Mullica Hill, NJ, Willie Rease Jr., Malcom Rease, Sr., Stefon Rease, and Sherrod Rease all of Vineland, NJ; granddaughter, Alaiya Rease of Vineland, NJ; grandfather, Deacon Leonard Jones of Newfield, NJ; longtime love and companion of 23 years, Sonya Hannah of Vineland, NJ and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Chestnut Assembly, 2554 E. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 1-3 pm. Interment private. Ministry of comfort entrusted to May Funeral Homes, Camden, Pennsauken, Willingboro, Vineland, Sicklerville, NJ and Philadelphia, PA. www.mayfuneralhomes.com.
