Barbara J. Goldsborough, 68, of Orlando, Fla., and formerly of Bridgeton, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Born in Bridgeton on Aug. 17, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Ira Goldsborough and Delores Williams Goldsborough. She had lived at her current address in Florida with her son, Keith, for the past two years. Prior to that she had been a lifetime resident of Bridgeton.
Before her retirement in 2009, Barbara had been employed with Wheaton Glass in Millville for 35 years. She loved playing bingo, pinochle and poker. She was a music lover, especially Smokey Robinson. Barbara lived for her grandchildren who were her heart.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Keith (Vera) Goldsborough of Orlando, Fla.; a granddaughter, Tiffany S. Goldsborough; two great-grandsons, Dominique D. and Demetrius D. Goldsborough of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Willard "Spider" Goldsborough of Candor, N.C.; three sisters-in-law, Kate, Yvonne and Ida B. Goldsborough; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Willard; her lifelong companion, John Fitchett; six brothers, Ira Maxwell, Donald, Lawrence, Chester, Harvey and Richard; four sisters, Rabena, Delores, Veronica and Betty; and two sisters-in-law, Thelma and Lottie.
Funeral services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the services.
