David Bermudez Obituary
Vineland - David Bermudez Sr, 56, a life long resident of Vineland, New Jersey passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. David spent his final days surrounded by family and friends. He passed away peacefully in the loving embrace of his wife and 3 children. David was born in Newcomb Hospital of Vineland, in 1962 to Mr. Abraham Bermudez and Mrs. Carmela Rodriguez-Angelo. He was one of 5 immediate siblings and 11 half siblings. David was a graduate of VHS class of 1981. Having been raised in a Christian household, David lived his life in a way that exemplified the values of Christianity instilled in him by his mother and stepfather, Ramon Rodriguez. He raised his children to love and trust in God in the way that he always had. At the age of 16 he began working as a driver for a parts store on Wood Street, as well as other odd jobs. Soon after his high school graduation, he began working for Blue Coach Company, and remained there for a number of years. Blue Coach Company is where he met his wife, Beatriz. After receiving his Nursing Assistant Certification he became employed with Bishop McCarthy Residence for 12 years. His last employer was Sears's holdings as a Sales Associate. David cherished the 17 years that he spent working there, and felt blessed to have been able to call his wonderful co-workers friends. He enjoyed a number of hobbies including carpentry, woodworking, gardening and antiquing. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Beatriz Bermudez; his 3 children Francisco Bonet-Bermudez, David Bermudez Jr, Elizabeth Bermudez; and his brother Ricardo Bermudez, whom he took care of for over 35 years. A church visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9am to 10:45am followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am from Divine Mercy Parish, 23 West Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. My deepest condolences to the Bermudez family. I knew David back in the late 70s when we attended Sunday school. He was a good guy and always had great sense of humor. RIP David.

Though I did not know David personally, I do remember him quite fondly from his time at Sears. One time at Sears, he made a very frustrating visit there a pleasant one after all when he introduced himself and helped me with a purchase. Kind, considerate, helpful and devoted to doing his job to its fullest. You never forget folks like him.

I was so very sorry to read about your dad this morning. I often talked to him when I was at Sears, finding out what you were up to and how you were doing. I ran into him a few months ago near the produce store, too. My sincerest sympathy and prayers to you and your family.
