Fred Sharp Obituary
Millville - Fred J. Sharp, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 25, 2021, with his family by his side.
Fred was born and raised in Millville, NJ and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. Upon discharge, he was part of the Freedman's Shoe Store family for over 50 years. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Philadelphia Phillies, traveling to Florida and other various places around the world. Fred is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy O'Malley Sharp, his 3 children, Terri Kavanagh, Suanne Chmelewski, Daniel Smith and his wife Judith, his grandchildren, Ryan Kavanagh, Brandon Kavanagh and his wife Heather, Kevin Smith, Brendan Smith and his wife Ashley and his great grandchildren, Ayden and Aubrey Kavanagh, and Ellis Smith.
Fred will be greatly missed for his huge heart and kind soul. A memorial honoring his life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to family at barrfuneralhome.net.

What a nice, kind man with such a presence! I remember going into Freedman’s for school shoes thru the years. He was always so kind and patient.

I remember when I was a little kid going into the shoe store and having my feet measured by him and always thought he was the rifleman from TV. Not long ago I seen him in bjs . William Heggan.
