GERTRUDIS JIMENEZ Obituary
Gertrudis Jimenez, 77, of Vineland passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she came to the United States in 1971 and has been a lifelong Vineland resident. She was a homemaker and enjoyed dancing and singing, going to the Senior Center, making arts and crafts, watching Spanish soap operas and loved animals. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Lillian Rivera and her husband Orlando of Vineland; three grandchildren, Joshua Gonzalez, Daniella Andujar and Krystal Cruz, all of Vineland; a great-grandchild, Arianna Gonzalez of Vineland; and a sister, Rafaela Pantoja of New York. She also is survived by her extended family -- the Andujar, Gonzalez and Viruet families.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 1019 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and again from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Condolences may be sent to www.dlfuneral.com.
