AGE: 91 •
It is with great sadness that the family of Jacqueline de Delva-Blanchet announces her passing on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the age of 91.
Jacqueline "Jackie", for many of her friends, was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In 1972, she moved to the United States. Being an accountant, she pursued her career at St Michael's Medical Centre in Newark, New Jersey, where she remained until her retirement.
She will be forever remembered by her husband Carlo Blanchet, and their children, Michaëlle (Maurice), Réginald (Nassia), Carli (Debi), Yanick (Francis), Elisabeth (Fred), William (Annemarie). Jacqueline will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Mary, Hans, Rachel, Stephanie, Natalie (Jasper), Isabelle, Eric, Achille, by her brothers, Edouard (Nicole) and Gary de Delva and families, by her neighbour, June, by numerous nephews, nieces and extended family and dear friends.
Jacqueline was predeceased by two sisters, Malou and Edith and brother, Henri.
Jackie was known for her love for her family, Haiti, good food, music and joie de vivre. Her cheerfulness and strong will were admired by all who met this caring woman.
Funeral liturgy will be held Friday, October 27th at 11:00 AM from Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will be private.
Family and friends may gather Friday from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM in the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, prior to the liturgy.
