James V. Robinson

Millville - James V. Robinson, 82, of Millville passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday April 4, 2021 with his 2 and 4 legged family after a lengthy illness.

Born at home in Millville to the late Caroline Felmey and William I. Robinson on January 18, 1939. Jimmy attended Millville High School graduating in 1957. Jimmy joined the Army following graduation.

Before his retirement in 2019 Jimmy worked for many local companies as a Master Machinist until he took ownership of his own machine shop A.G. Machine in Vineland, NJ. Jimmy was a very talented machinist who took great pride in his work.

Jimmy had many hobbies. He liked to read, especially military and aviation books. His most notable hobby was his passion for flying. He began flying in 1969 and flew many different types of planes and kept flying until he sold his personal airplane in 2020.

Jimmy worked on many types of planes but enjoyed doing restoration of vintage aircraft. He was also a flight instructor for many years.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years Marianne (Goff), sons William (Diane) and Timothy, granddaughters, Christine, Kimmie, and great granddaughter Madison all of Millville.

Jimmy will also be fondly remembered by his many friends in the business/flight community. He was a friend to all.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Joseph and a son James Robinson, Jr.

Jimmy's celebration of life will be held at Hoffman Funeral Homes 643 Main Street Leesburg on Saturday April 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM. His viewing will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will be private at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
