John Tillio Labo

AGE: 98 • formerly of Landisville

John Tillio Labo, 98, (formerly of Landisville), resident of the Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014. John was born in Buena and was a lifelong resident of Landisville.

John retired from the Tri-State Transportation Company after forty years of dedicated service. He was always proud of his unblemished driving career. John was a veteran of WW2 serving in the Army Air Force achieving the rank of sergeant and was an original member of the VFW Post 158 in Landisville. He enjoyed watching baseball and football, crabbing, traveling, playing golf, going to the casinos, working around his house, gardening and was an avid pinochle player. John as a member of Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Parish and attended church regularly.

John was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Mina (Mercoli) Labo, father Michael, mother Caroline, brother Joseph Labo and his sister-in-law, Rena, brother Fred Labo and sister-in-law Sylvia, his sister, Della Pinotti and brother-in-law, Charles and brother James Labo. Survivors include his two sons, John R. Labo and his wife Sandra and Gary M. Labo, all of Vineland. One grandson, Matthew Labo of Brigantine and sister-in-law Violet Labo of Vineland along with many nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral liturgy will be held Tuesday, July 8th at 11:00 AM from Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael Church 504 S. West Ave. Minotola. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville. Viewing will be held 9:00-10:45 AM Tuesday in CHURCH prior to the liturgy. In lieu of Flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Cumberland County SPCA 1244 N. Delsea Drive Vineland, NJ 08360. Please visit wbfuneralhome.com to send condolences to the family.
