Joseph B. Ferguson, 91, of Buena and formerly of Gloucester City, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Kennedy Hospital in Stratford.
Born in Guilford County, N.C., he later served in the U.S. Army from 1936 to 1978 and retired as a captain. Joe raised his family in Gloucester City and was a resident there for 33 years. He has spent the last 12 years living in Buena. Joe enjoyed baseball and coached for a few years, while living in Gloucester City.
Husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" (Lyness), he is survived by two sons, Gary J. Ferguson and his wife Donna of Bellmawr and their children, Ryan and Erin, and Brian E. Ferguson of Mount Royal and his children, Christine, Michael and Kelly; and one great-grandson, Ryan Jr.
Mr. Ferguson was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Gayle Ferguson.
Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family.
