Noreen Alice (Mead) Klawitter, 55, of Hopewell Township, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at her home.
Noreen was born on Nov. 6, 1954, in Millville to the late Raymond S. Mead and Lida (Sis) McMahon Mead. She lived her entire life on West Park Drive in Hopewell Township.
She had worked for many years at the Prudential Insurance Company in Millville and also at the Tropicana Casino Hotel in Atlantic City before retiring to take loving care of her mother for several years. Noreen graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1973 and enjoyed playing softball with all her friends in the Bridgeton Women's League for several years.
She was an avid pheasant hunter and loved pheasant hunting with her niece, Kelly, every year as a family tradition. She also enjoyed crabbing with her husband, Frank. She and Frank traveled to the Blue Ridge Mountains and Skyline Drive in Virginia every year, a place they both loved. She also enjoyed spending time with her great-niece and great-nephew, Samantha and Kenny.
She was predeceased by her brother, Kenny Mead.
In addition to her loving husband, Franklin P. Klawitter, she is survived by a niece, Kelly A. Mead-Weiss and her husband, Wayne; a nephew, Thomas R. Mead; a sister-in-law, Debbie Duffield; a stepson, Franklin S. Klawitter; a stepdaughter, Crystal A. Hannah; aunts and uncles, Linda and Lew Merritt, Josephine and George McMahon and Alice and Carmen Barlam; great-nieces, Samantha Weiss, Abigail Mead and Emma Mead; great-nephew, Kenny Weiss; grandchildren, Brittany Dilks and R.J. Hannah; and special extended family, Stefanie Wood, Rhoda Travaline, Peggy Moore Rempfer and Betty Mosley; along with several cousins and the Klawitter family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the services. Cremation and inurnment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cremator in Upper Deerfield Township.

So sorry to hear of Noreen's passing. We knew the entire Mead family and they are all truly missed. Noreen was a good person and put up a brave fight. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. May she now Rest in Peace.
