Paul K. Welch, Sr.

Vineland - Paul K. Welch, Sr., 86, of Vineland, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 29, 2017 at his home where he had been under the care of family & hospice. Paul was born in Wilamantic, CT and was a longtime resident of Vineland. He was the son of the late Jenny (Urban) & Paul B. Welch. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 51 yrs. Shirley (Humphreys) Welch in 2003 as well as his brother Joe Urban & sister Pauline Castellini-Beck.

Paul was a Vineland High School graduate Class of 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt. Before retiring, Paul was employed for 28 yrs at Owens Corning Fiberglass in Barrington, NJ. He had started his working career with Stanker & Galetto. Paul was a loving husband, an avid fisherman, loved baseball and football. He was a meticulous, systematic and quiet man with a great work ethic which he passed on to his children. He had a wise guy sense of humor and often made us laugh. He also deeply loved his family and always put them first.

He is survived by 1 son; Paul K. (Teresa) Welch Jr., 4 daughters; Donna (Michael) Capps, Jennifer Milanese, Barbara (Mark) Levin, Joanna (Brian) Cunningham, 15 grandchildren; Dion, Derek, Chelsea & Paul (Hope) Welch, Kristen Spencer, Kevin & Nicholas Capps, Gary & Jacqueline Milanese, Benjamin, Matthew & Tyler (Renee) Levin, Angela, Rebecca & James Cunningham. 4 Great grandchildren; Maylee & Cooper Levin, Aubrey Welch & Andrew Welch. Son in-law; Gary Milanese, Sr. 2 brothers; Bob (Janet) Urban & Ron (Josie) Urban

Relatives & friends will be received on January 20, 2018 from 10am -noon at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd, Vineland, NJ with a Memorial Service to follow at noon.
