Rose Craven Obituary
AGE: 102 • Vineland
Rose M. Craven, 102, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014, in Voorhees. Born in Vineland to the late John and Sophia (Mattioli) Fabbri, she remained a life long resident.
Rose graduated as Valedictorian with the class of 1929 from Vineland High School. Rose was a Supervisor/Bookkeeper at Kimble Glass for many years. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart PTA where she served as its secretary. Rose was a life-long parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and was active in many church activities. In her early years she attended the Eighth Street church.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and was a life-long player, playing it as a professional. She would travel to many areas just to play the game. Rose also enjoyed movies and was a movie buff, and also going to the casinos. She was a great fan of Lawrence Welk and Wheel of Fortune.
Rose is survived by a son and his wife; Robert and Patricia Craven of Voorhees, grandsons and their wives Robert and Michelle Welker, John and Millie Welker, granddaughters and their husbands, Patricia and Joseph Flanagan, Donna and Dave Schuman, and granddaughter, Cheryl Koehler, 27 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces and their husbands; Roseann and Danny DeNovelis, Cathy and Adam Rubin, along with several great nieces and nephews. Rose is predeceased by her brother, Louis Fabbri and two sisters, Unice Villa, and Emma Cavoli.
Funeral Home Visitation will be on Thursday, March 13 from 7pm to 8 pm followed by a funeral service at 8 pm at Rone Funeral Service, Vineland. There will be no visitation on Friday at the Funeral Home. Chapel service will take place at 10 am on Friday March 14, in Sacred Heart Cemetery Garden Mausoleum Chapel , Vineland, NJ. Followed by burial in the Cemetery. Donations in memory of Rose may be made to Life Choice Hospice, 65 E. Route 4, River Edge NJ 07661.
