Sharon Peachey Obituary

Sharon Kay Peachey

Millville - Sharon "Kay" Peachey traveled home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 13, 2021 at her residence in Millville, NJ. Kay was 73 at the time of her departure. She was born on July 16, 1947 to Dwayne and Claudia McNeeley Parker in Leesville, LA.

Kay is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Laurence "Larry" Peachey of Millville, NJ; son, Bill Peachey of Millville, NJ; stepson, Jeffrey Tomlin of Port Elizabeth, NJ; grandchildren, Tyler Peachey of San Diego, CA and Shane Peachey of Millville, NJ; step-grandchildren, Tyler Baglio and Rachel of Vineland, NJ; siblings, Dwight and Cammie Adkins Parker of Silsbee, TX; Pam King of Simpson, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwayne and Claudia; son, "little" Larry; siblings, Vernon and wife Ruth Smith Parker, Carol Parker Simmons and husband Jerry, Royce Parker (Sharon Bourke Parker), and Roger Parker (Jeanie Lewis Parker).

Kay enjoyed raising her two boys and was extremely proud of them, as well as her grandchildren. She was also passionate in all that she was involved in. She loved the outdoors and interacting with nature; shooting at the range, fishing and especially traveling with Larry.

Kay was loved by all who knew her. Her love was reciprocated in the humblest and sincere nature. She was extremely generous to all her friends and family. Kay was a retiree of 23 years with Sheppard Bus Company, where she drove bus for special needs children. Her kind and giving heart was obvious to her "babies". They adored Miss Kay, and she adored them. She often spoiled them with gifts and treasures. Kay will be loved and missed by all that knew her and will always be remembered by those who's life she has touched. We will all miss her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and funeral service at Maranatha Baptist Church, 1524 Bridgeton-Millville Pike (Route 49) in Millville on Monday April 19, 2021.Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with the service following at 10:30 AM. Face masks are required and please observe social distancing. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay's memory to the ALS Foundation at ALS.org.
