Sotero Delgado, 71, of Vineland went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at home. Sotero was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, to the late Juan and Francisca (DeJesus) Delgado and lived in Vine-land most of his life. Sotero was a farmer for Duffield Farms in Monroe Twp. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish in Vineland. Sotero enjoyed gardening and sharing time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Hilda (Leon) Delgado of Vineland; six sons, Sotero Delgado Jr. (Lucy), Shawn Delgado, John Delgado, Mark Delgado and Angel Gutierrez and Eddie Gutierrez (Maria); four daughters, Viola Delgado, Myra Gutierrez, Maribel Gutierrez (Melvin) and Diana Ramos (Pedro); brother, Juan Delgado; sister, Epi Delgado; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours are from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Inurnment will be private in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mausoleum, Vineland.

The one thing that we all here in New Mexico remember most about sotero was the way he always smiled, like a kid with a piece of candy. He was truly loved by all of us. Our hearts will never be the same. TiTi Hilda, our prays are with you always. I wish I was there to comfort you but I know the kids are by your side. Love you all
