Thomas Dewey Gregg, Sr. 72 of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland.

Born in Del Rio, TN to the late Floyd Gregg and Ellen Suggs Gregg, he was the husband of Sylvia Rogers Gregg and was predeceased by his first wife, Pearl Setzer Gregg. He had lived in Upper Deerfield Twp. for the past four years and prior to that had been a resident of Elmer for 40 years.

Before his retirement, Dewey had worked with the Road Department Division of the State of New Jersey-Department of Transportation in Glassboro. He had also been previously employed at Bridgeton Dye and Finishing. He was a member of Norma Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.

In addition to his wife, Sylvia, he is survived by six children, Thomas Gregg, Jr. and his wife, Amy of Mantua Twp., Cindy Cadle and her husband, Jerry of AL, Richard Joyce of Pilesgrove, Chuck Joyce of OK, Sandy Wakai and her husband, Todd of DE and Sharon Dare and her husband, Ray of Hopewell Twp.; two sisters, Helen Gore (Ellie) of SC and Patsy Bledsoe of TN; 11 grandchildren, Brett, Sean, Ryan, Richard, Emma, Devonne, J.C., Ben, Matthew, Casey and Cameron. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Joyce, two brothers, Warren and Harold Gregg and three sisters, Gaynell Norton, Lagretta Chiari and Marilyn Richie.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, March 2nd at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Deerfield Methodist Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
