Wilma Lukens Obituary

Wilma "Lucille" Lukens, 84, of Millville died on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at the South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Lukens was born in Sumner, Ill., and had lived in this area for more than 22 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church, where she was a very active member and also served as treasurer for the church. Mrs. Lukens also taught Sunday school for many years and was a very devout Christian lady.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Mills (the Rev. Gary) of Millville, Marcia Skinner (David) of New York and Melanie Braisted (Steven) of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. James R. Lukens; and great-granddaughter, Joanna.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Pilgrim Holiness Church, 1853 Mays Landing Road., Millville, where friends may call from 10 a.m.. in the church. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
