Sunshine Cowling Obituary

Sunshine L. Cowling 66 passed away Thursday October 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 6, 1959, at the Sheridan Community Hospital to her parents Wayne and Phyllis (Kidder) Beard. She delivered the Grand Rapids Press for years. She was an ordained minister and lived at the Outdoor Adventure Park where she loved to camp and share the message of Gods salvation with her ministry and chaplain work. She was an avid seamstress making unique clothing to wear and loved to bake. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Buddy (Roberta) Reed of Stanton and Willie (Brenda) Reed of Cedar Springs; daughter-in-law Stephanie Reed of Ionia. She has six grandchildren; Kayleigh, Trinity, Lucas, Tyler, Noah, and Parker Reed and one great grandchild Zaiden Reed; sisters Connie Haling and Vicki (Mike) Woodcock, both of Sheridan and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons Matthew and Andrew Reed and a brother-in-law Brian Haling. Private Funeral Services will be held with burial at Evergreen Cemetery with a celebration of life announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Marshall Funeral Home Inc. in Greenville with full obit on line at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com where you can leave a message of condolence for the family.
