Rose Detloff Obituary

Rose Anna Detloff went home to her Savior Jesus Christ on December 3, 2013.

Rose was born October 30, 1919 to Fred and Emma (Gohl) Wittwer in Hayes County in southwestern Nebraska and grew up on a farm outside nearby Culbertson

Surviving are a son Richard Carl Detloff, daughter Carol Detloff Cole, son-in-law Dallas Cole, grandchildren Peter and Jenny Cole and Lori and Greg Dowles, and great-grandchildren Alexander and Levi Cole and Cole Dowles.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Emma Wittwer, a brother William Wittwer, and her husband of 44 years Carl Detloff.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., Monday, at the Hackman Family Funeral Home – Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091. Funeral services celebrating the life of Rose Anna Detloff will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 S. Lakeview Ave., Sturgis, MI 49091 with The Rev. Calvin J. Kolzow, officiating. Interment and graveside services will follow in Sturgis Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be directed to Trinity Lutheran School, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
