Barbara Jean Lockwood

Born: May 21, 1936 | Died: October 15, 2025

Barbara Jean Lockwood, age 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Barbara graduated from East High School in 1955. She was employed as a medical receptionist at St. Mary's Hospital for nine years and retired from the medical profession several years later. Barbara was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi for ten years. She earned degrees from the Chicago School of Interior Design and operated her own business in Maryville, Tennessee for several years.

Proceeded in death by husband Charles W. Lockwood, beloved grandson Christopher Charles Sullivan, and grandmother Mimmie Greenlee, Barbara is survived by two lovely daughters Sherry Lockwood Petrowski (beloved son-in-law Barry Petrowski), Mary Lockwood Chadwick (Melvin), granddaughters Stephany Sullivan, Casey Chadwick McHone, grandson Corey Chadwick and five great grandchildren River Sullivan, Benjamin Sullivan, Mazy Sullivan, and Trigg McHone.

In lieu of flowers, Barbara requests donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or charity of choice.

Barbara was laid to rest with private graveside service on October 17, 2025 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa, Tennessee. Online condolences may be made at www.rosefuneraltn.com
