Murlin 'Merle' Nuchols Murlin "Merle" Nuchols passed away peacefully on April 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Merle was born March 2, 1945 in Maryville, TN in Blount County. He spent many years as a licensed certified diesel mechanic and refrigeration specialist. He retired from Harrison's CC., where he earned many other certifications. Merle is preceded in death by wife Dallas Goad Nuchols and first wife Hellen Owens Nuchols, parents, J.W. Nuchols and Haulena Nuchols, brothers, Ferris Nuchols, Robert Nuchols, sister Juanita "Tootsie" Breazeale. He is survived by sister, Carol Stinnett, son Roger (Gail) Nuchols, step-son Larry Nelson, grandchildren, Cody (Emilee) Nuchols, Rebecca (Tra) Woods and Maci Nuchols, and great grandchildren, Lucas Woods and Zaylen Nuchols. Several neices and nephews. A celebration of life will be held May 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., Old Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church (826 Old Piney Rd Maryville, TN 37803), with reverend and pastor Rex Everett to officiate. Flowers may be sent/delivered to the church or the home of Roger (Gail) Nuchols.
