Philip Starck Obituary
Philip was a Major in the Marine Corp and served two tours in Vietnam. After his discharge from the Marine Corp, Philip went on to work with ABC News in New York City. In 1978, he moved to Knoxville, TN to work for the Tennessee Valley Authority and made Tennessee his home for the remainder of his life. Philip was an active member of the Church of the Good Samaritan.
Philip is preceded in death by his father Philip Adam; mother Elizabeth Porter, and sister Elizabeth Heitman. Philip is survived by his beloved wife Lois; children Phil (Andrea), Tim (Marcie), Andrew (Lesley), Lizzie (Danny), and Lori (Mike); siblings Diane Wharton, Middy Dill, Fred Starck, Dan Starck, Jamie Starck; grandchildren Charlie, William, Malynn, Daniel, Samuel, Aubrie, Danny Jr., and Graf; two great grandchildren; fourteen nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 3:30pm at the Church of the Good Samaritan (425 N. Cedar Bluff Road Knoxville, TN) with burial and reception immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Memorial Fund or the Philip Starck Animal Science Scholarship at the University of Nebraska.
