Andrea Greene Obituary

Stonington - Andrea "Andy" Kimball Greene, of Stonington, passed away peacefully April 7, 2025, at age 82, at Westerly Hospital. Andy was born in Hartford, May 14, 1942, the daughter of the late David Warren Kimball and the late Ruth Cotton Kimball.

She was raised in Waterford, along with her brother David Warren Kimball, now of Granby, and lived for many years in West Hartford, before moving to Stonington, where she spent over 30 years and where she met her beloved husband, the late Harry Arnold Greene Jr.

She was a tremendous artist, especially in painting mediums, and enjoyed gardening, too. She was a homemaker for her entire life. With her first husband, the late Crawford Ellis Hindermann Jr., she had three children, Crawford Ellis Hindermann III (Terry) of Charlottesville, Va., David Tyler Hindermann (Tyler), of West Roxbury, Mass., and Nancy Taylor Hindermann of Middletown, R.I., and then was married to her second husband Harry Greene for over 20 years.

Harry an Andy enjoyed many years in Stonington, and were members of The Wadawanuck Club, where she was on the Garden Committee. They both enjoyed reading and daily crossword puzzles. Aside from leaving her children, she leaves Terry's wife Kassie Benham; and four grandchildren: Ellis and Hazel Hindermann, and Grace and Curtis Hindermann. She also leaves her stepdaughters, Kimberly Welsh, her children Matthew and Colin, and Stephanie Greene.

Services will be private and at a date to be determined.
