I'm so sorry to hear about Mrs. Carroll, my 6th grade teacher at Ledyard Center School. She was always smiling and seemed to truly care about us kids--one of the best in all of my 7 years at the school. She was beloved for her "mouse treats" and I'll never forget the lovely little gifts she'd give us when we won spelling bees: Lemon-scented stationary and a pretty scarf were my favorites. Rest in peace, Mrs. Carroll...and my sincere condolences to her family.

Mrs. Carroll was one of my favorite teachers at Ledyard Center School! She taught my 4th grade class. I remember she had a reading contest which was right up my alley. I still have the grape-scented stationary she gave me for 2nd place! She embraced my desire to help around the classroom and her warmth and acceptance helped to shape me into a lifelong student. Thank you Mrs. Carroll!

Sorry to read this, my parents became friends with Ann thru Waterford Senior Citizens. Covid broke the group up, but many good times will be remembered.
