She was born in Montville on May 5, 1923, to the late Joseph and Mary Pachiodo.
Anna married Peter Gula on Nov. 12, 1945, and together they raised two sons. Anna was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Peter Gula of Uncasville; her son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Mary Lou Gula of Westerly; her sisters, Delphina Clark of Indiana, Eliza Paradis of Montville, and Irene Daniels of Montville; her granddaughters, Megan Todt and her husband, Tony, Katie Gula and Melissa Gula; and her great-grandson, Aleksander Todt.
She was predeceased by her son, Albert Gula; her brothers, Frank and Dominic Pachiodo; and sisters, Victoria Mrowka and Rita Allen.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Rte. 32, Montville. A 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Church in Uncasville. Burial will immediately follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's memory may be made to St. John's Church , 22 Maple Ave., Uncasville CT 06382.
