A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames Street, Groton. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. A calling hour will be held from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Please visit www.byles.com for directions or to sign the guestbook. A full obituary will appear in the Sunday edition of The Day.

Aunt Annette was always ready to see the good in people. We spent many Sunday dinners with family eating spaghetti and laughing at the old memories. We will miss her.

Meme was one of a kind. She loved visiting us and watching the dogs play for hours. She adored the goats and chickens. Laughed a lot at Adam Sandler movies. And would stare at the star on top of our tree at Christmas time because she was afraid it would catch the wood ceiling on fire. I'll never forget that. She could eat anyone under the table. Was always cold. Taught me to be a cut throat rummy player. And absolutely loved seeing her great grandkids. She will always have her special spot in our couch. We will love you always Meme
