Arthur Perron Obituary
He was born Feb. 21, 1938, in New Britain, son of the late Steven Perron and Charlotte (Day) Perron. Arthur was a devoted father and loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was a dedicated servant of his country and served over 22 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was also a Vietnam veteran.
In his and Adrienne's journey with their children, they lived in eight different states and two European countries; Vietnam was a solo trip for him. He strongly believed that we were and still are an exceptional country, and it was worth defending.
Arthur is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur G. Perron Jr. and his wife, Suzette, of Burlington, N.D., and Thomas M. Perron and Mary B. Perron of Niantic; a daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne S. Perron and Raymond Smith of Harriman; sister and brother-in-law, Mariette (Perron) and Ralph Johnson of Enfield; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas E. Perron of Bristol, and Chalam Smith of Hazardville; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Rick, Kaylee, Ryan, Joshua, Evan, and Nolan; and a great-grandchild, Mason C. Mcpeak.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul F. Smith and Steven W. Perron; and sister-in-law, Brenda Perron.
Friends and family may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, closing with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will directly follow in the Simsbury Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
