Dear Lee,
I just wanted to thank you for being my 2nd mother for the last 34 years. I've always told people how lucky I was to have you for my mother in law, I truly could not have asked for better.
Especially since my mom lived out of state, it meant even more to have you part of my life. You were there for me for so many things right from the start, from the time you sewed the seam on my dress right before homecoming in high school, to going with me to pick up my wedding gown and being there at the hospital to see Nick after he was born. You were the first (and only) person to babysit him when he was an infant, because as a new mom I didn't trust anyone else to watch him.
I will really miss our phone calls, laughing with you, sharing recipes and all the support you gave me in happy times and sad. In case I didn't say it enough, I hope you knew how much you meant to me.
You were also there for all the important milestones for Nick growing up, from hisbaptism to his high school graduation, going to college and everything in between. You will always be known to him and loved as his Grammy "with the bad knees".
We are heartbroken you are no longer here with us. Therewill be an empty place at our table now during theholidays, they definitely won't be the same without you here with us. But I promise we will always cherish those special memories we have of you. I love you mom, you will be dearly missed.
All my love, Chris
