Bonnie Pezzolesi Obituary
Born in Meriden, the daughter of the late Robert and the late Valerie (Bouley) Barry, she graduated from Maloney High School in Meriden, and worked as a dance teacher at Dancer's Image in Cromwell.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Nicholas and Anthony James Pezzolesi; a daughter, Nia Pezzolesi; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Cheryl and William Lonegran, of Durham, and Karen Barry, of Rocky Hill; her mother-in-law, Phyllis Pezzolesi, of Middletown; her father-in-law, Dennis K. Pezzolesi and Geraldine Fortney; a sister-in-law, Debbie (Pezzolesi) Pezzello and her husband, James, of North Stonington; and nieces and nephews, Jason Lonegran and his wife, Heather and their two children, Kelsey Faith Lonegran, Brenna Grace Lonegran, Amber (Lonegran) Haglund and her husband, Michael, Justin and Alicia Lonegran, and Jamie, Amanda, Olivia, and Nina Pezzello.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway in Kensington, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Midstate Medical Center, Breast Care Center, c/o Abbi Bruce, Director of Cancer Care Center, 435 Lewis Street, Meriden 06451.

My heart goes out to you and your family. When I think of Bonnie, I remember her stopping by the office with Nick in tow hanging on to her leg, hiding behind her. When Bonnie come to the office she brought sunshine to the day. Dennis stay strong and lean on those close to your heart. Your wife will always be close to you and your kids.

I met Bonnie through her wonderful sister Karen. Although I didn't know Bonnie well, Karen always spoke of her in the most glowing terms as a sister, mother and wife. When the family was planning Karen's surprise birthday party, Bonnie reached out to me in Ohio, hoping I could particpate in Karen's special day. We had a great conversation about many things and I was so grateful that she took the time to do something extra special for my wonderful friend. The day of the party, I was amazed at the energy she exuded and the sheer joy she took in life. I know this is because she was cherishing every hard-won second. She will be with those who loved her forever. God Bless you and keep you all.

My Sister (in-law) Bonnie was an amazing mother, wife and friend. She touched all types of lives all over the world. The 14 year marriage she had with my Brother was one you don't see much these days. They had amazing love, respect and fun as well. Her sarcasm would bring laughter everytime we were with her. Her positive spirit brightened many years. Her children adore her and the love and support she gave them is like no other. I believe she will continue to give that love in ways only they will know. My Husband and Daughters will miss her very much as well. Our many family traditions and Holidays will not be the same without her. I want her to know how much she is missed by me and how much she personally touched my life. A piece of me is truly missing with her gone. As I promised her, I will help take care of the kids. Dennis, I was fortunate to visit with you at a Gen-X event in Las Vegas last year. In our conversation you mentioned Bonnie's battle with cancer. It was obvious that she was fighting a good fight. I am so sorry that she ultimately lost the war.
I sincerely hope that knowledge of the peaceful, painfree, heavenly place she is in now gives you some comfort. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I met Bonnie about 4 years ago at dance class at The Dancers Image. She was such a wonderful person and had so much poise and grace. I always told her "If the world had more people like Bonnie, this would be such a better place." She was someone you could talk to, laugh with and admire. Anthony, Nicholas and Nia, you were so lucky to have Bonnie as your mother. Her love for you was unconditional. Always remember the loving and happy times you had with her. She will forever be watching over you.

Dennis, I never met Bonnie, but if she had to put up with YOU, then she must have been quite the saint. As you are going thru this, just remember that there are a zillion people who are thinking about you, what happened to Bonnie, and what the future holds for you and your kids. Life fortunately does go on and you have three kids that not only need you, but you ALSO need for their love and company. Bonnie and you have left behind your legacy via your kids.. and when you see that little glimpse of Bonnie in your kids, it's that part of the memory that is the VERY BEST part of havin them!

My heartfelt sorrow at Bonnie's passing.Miss Bonnie taught our children at The Dancer's Image but also we became very close thru our life circumstances. I had lost a son, she her health and vigor, facing her own mortality we spent many hours talking hugging crying and usually ended up laughing. I was honored to call her my friend. Her radiating smile somehow made you feel everything would be alright, no matter how difficult or physically frail she became she pursued her optomistic glow.Her family the core of her being. She so loved you all.Carry those gifts she gave you and shine through your life, smile and celebrate her. Grief will fill your heart and will for now take up much room but there also is much love and memories that will again bring smiles. Her forever gifts.

Sometime you lose people in your life that you didn’t realize how much they meant to you. Over the last 2 days I have been thinking about all the time she was there in my life. Bonnie was a wonderful friend and extremely gifted dancer. My family and I are so deeply saddened by the death of Bonnie. We knew her from church and from the dance studio. I loved seeing her smile everyweek at the studio and especially when she danced at the recitals. Her smile just lit up her whole face and it would make you smile too. Bonnie was an amazing inspiration to me as a young dancer in the 70's; we both attended dance schools taught by Patti Dorio in Meriden.
