Brad Bucacci Obituary

New London - Brad Joseph Bucacci, 38, of New London passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

He was born Nov. 4, 1982, in Westerly, R.I., son of Louis Bucacci and Irene (LaRocque) Bammer.

Brad graduated from East Lyme High School. Among his jobs, he was a Supervisor in the press department at Bourdon Forge Company and a Crew Leader at Nealon Insulation and C&R Insulation companies. He most recently was employed by Dunn's Tree Service as a tree cutter, truck driver and equipment operator.

Brad was outgoing and is being remembered for his friendliness and caring nature.

He was on a wrestling team during his middle school years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, camping and fishing. Brad spent many happy times at Misquamicut Beach and Watch Hill while growing up in Westerly. He enjoyed walks on the beach and collecting sea glass.

He is survived by his mother Irene Bammer of Salem; brother Thomas Bucacci; and stepfather Glenn Bammer. He is also survived by his girlfriend, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

We cherish the happy memories and the good times we had with Brad. He will be greatly missed by his family, his girlfriend Kara and his many friends.

Services were private. Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London assisted with the arrangements. Please visit www.byles.com to sign the guestbook.

Brad was my best friend growing up on Brookview Ct. in Westerly. We hung out nearly every day. The things I remember most about him is that he was funny, a great friend, and the biggest daredevil I had ever known. After he moved from the neighborhood, we drifted apart, but just recently I was thinking about him and googled his name to see if he had any social media accounts, and was devastated when I saw his obituary from just a couple weeks ago. Maybe it was his spirit that made me think of him. I wish I had thought to connect with him sooner, to hang out as “adults” but unfortunately all I have to remember him by is the awesome memories of us playing and getting into trouble. Condolences to his family, especially his mom and his brother Tommy, who I also remember. RIP Brad, till we meet again old friend.

My deepest sympathies to Irene, Glenn and Tom. I didn’t see my nephew Brad very often but when I did he always came to me with a smile and a firm handshake. I will truly miss him. He was a wonderful son to be proud of.

The cute kid grew up and left way too soon. Words can't convey, "condolences" is the best I can send to Irene, Glenn, family and friends. So very sorry for your loss. Remember the good stuff.

Hugs and prayers to you all during this time. Praying God bring you comfort as only He can. I’ll always remember Brad and his “soupee” (spelling?) as a kid - walking around with some in a bowl asking if we wanted any haha. And hiding in lawn chair teepees in our backyard during a visit ❤. Hold the memories dear and he’ll always be with you ❤
