My dear sweet pal Cheryl, I will repeat here what I said privately to you, and echoing what Carolyn M.B. said. Your mom made me feel like she was my second mom, my mom away from home. Your home was such a welcoming place to be, and you both made it so. That is an incalculable gift to those who were welcomed in. You are both a huge blessing in my life, and that is not diminished now that your mom has moved along. God bless those that remain here in mourning with comfort and peace, knowing we will see her again. Much love!

Fred, I am so sorry for this heartbreak, to you and your family. Especially when it is such a caring and loving woman, as your Mom. The world feels a lot different when you lose a parent. Like the foundation beneath your feet has somehow been broken, shaken or even partially removed. It´s so hard to fathom life without them. She´s been there your whole life. Take the time to grieve your loss. Support each other´s. She meant so much to so many. I send you all my deepest sympathy.
With Love,
John Dotson

Her smile could literally up a day no matter how miserable. The world just got a little lonelier.

Dear Cheryl, Fred & family
Your mom always held a special place in my heart. As first name buddies, I felt particularly close to her. She was a second mom in so many ways and her love was boundless. She would often send me post cards and letters when I was away at college detailing the hometown day to day and always giving me words of encouragement. It made a world of difference to me and made me appreciate my own parents' sacrifices on a whole new level. She was a single parent working full time and still found time to make her kids' friends feel so important and loved! I will carry that memory in my heart always. Her passing is so bittersweet as I know how very much she longed to be with your Dad again. My heart is heavy as we are without her physical presence, yet I am also filled with joy knowing she was greeted with open arms by her sweetheart and so many other loved ones who went before her. She lived an examplery life of love and sacrifice. There is no doubt in my mind she was well-received by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ saying, "Well done, my Good and Faithful Servant!" May she rest in peace until we meet again. I love you, Mom K. Carolyn

I was just thinking about Carolyn the other day how she missed her husband since he passed years ago. I never knew him but knew Carolyn from church. So sad to hear she has passed but know that she is resting in the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus. Till we meet on the other side. May the God of all comfort be with her family as they grieve her passing. God's blessings to you all.

I worked with Carolyn at Norwich Hospital and remember her well as a excellent, kind nurse. She spoke often of her children, who she was very proud of. My sincere sympathies to her family. Rest in peace, Carolyn
