Charlie was (one of a kind .)
He was Blessed beyond measure with talent and ability. He truly was (the best of the best ) as a welder. His self taught Black Smith work was beautiful.
As busy as he was he still found time to work as a union Stweard for the Boikermakers and help make the Company a better place for ALL of us. Other welders used to ask me, what does it take to be the best welder in the Company? And my answer was always the same.
"When you can outweld Charlie Sedell, then and only then, you'll be number one."
He is missed by all. God Bless - Smitty

I got to know Charlie after doing some work at his house quite a few years ago. Little did I know of how talented and brilliant he was. He built a fantastic wrought iron arch for my house. He put his heart and soul into everything he did. No shortcuts ever taken. He was a great man for sure and I'm going to miss him big time.

Charlie: Your presence will always be felt at the Ralph Madara Blacksmith Shop, where I came to know you a few years ago. Your skill, your generosity, your dedication to the craft of smithing and sharing it with others will always be remembered and sorely missed. Karen, my deepest sympathy in this time of loss of such a wonderful man. Sincerely, Holly
