Christina Bigelow Obituary

Ledyard - Christina (Ogren) Bigelow, 77, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Wilbur H. Bigelow Jr.

Christina, or Chris as she was known, was born and raised in Melrose, Mass., the eldest of six children. She moved to Ledyard with Wilbur in 1964 where they raised their two children, Mark and Scott.

Chris was a gifted sewer, knitter and creative craftswoman. She delighted her friends and family with her unique and personalized gifts. She voraciously embraced new hobbies and her interests included photography, doll collecting and even owned several show cats and dogs.

She will be dearly missed by her family as she joins her two sons in heaven.

All services will be private for the family.

The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., Mystic, is assisting the family.

Our sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved wife, Bill! The two of you weathered the unthinkable and showed those of us who love you what courage, love and compassion really are.
