Christopher Bosma Obituary
Chris was born June 25, 1976, in Groton, to William and Mary (Kulesa) Bosma. He attended North Stonington Schools, graduated from Ella T. Grasso Technical High School and went on to be the proud owner of "Made in the Shade Sheetmetal", an HVAC and custom sheet metal shop.
Chris was a loving father to his son, Isaak, who he cherished spending time with. In addition to being a dad, Chris was an outdoor enthusiast. Some of his favorite activities included hiking, kayaking, boating, white water rafting, camping, rock climbing, and weekend trips to Sandy Point to catch clams and relax with friends. He was also passionate about working on his multiple trucks.
Simply put, Chris lit up any room. He had an infectious laugh and his smile shined. Above all though, Chris had a heart of gold. He was always there to help a family member or friend in need. He will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his son, Isaak; his mother, Mary; two brothers, Jeremy and Jon; a nephew, Patrick; a niece, Amelia; and his partner, Cindy Meshanic. In addition to his immediate loved ones, Chris was adored by the members of his extended family as well.
Chris is predeceased by his father, William.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at Buckler-Johnston, followed immediately by interment at Union Cemetery in North Stonington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Chris' memory to the Isaak Bosma Life Fund c/o People's United Bank, 91 Voluntown Road, Pawcatuck, CT 06379.

Very sorry to hear of Chris' passing. He installed HVAC at our house in Pawcatuck and his dedication toward his trade was clearly evident in the excellent work product. Chris also very passionate about the nature wonders of the Stonington area and he took the time during his work to point out many of the hidden gems in the area, to which we are recent arrivals. Godspeed Chris.

Chris was a beautiful person who's presence calmed and helped anyone he came in contact with. He will be remembered as the kind and generous person that he always was. He will be missed and my heart and prayers go out to his family.

I remember Chris as a happy, enthusiastic second grader-one of my favorites, even though teachers are not supposed to have favorites. I was so very sorry to hear of this tragedy and keep all involved in my prayers.
