Christopher Johns Obituary
He was born on Feb. 23, 1981, in New London, the beloved son of Christopher and Lisa (Cote) Johns of Uncasville. Christopher graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in New London. He was a graduate of Montville High School, class of 1999. During his school years he played baseball, football, and ran track. He loved all sports, especially the Yankees and New York Giants and loved to play poker. He was currently employed at Advanced Construction in Mystic. Christopher loved to make people laugh and was quite the comedian.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Alina Wheeler of West Haven; his sister, Monica Johns of Grand Cayman; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Cote of New London; his paternal grandmother, Elvira Johns of Waterford; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Donald Cote and Theophilus Johns.
His family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Family and friends are asked to gather for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph Church, Squire St., New London. Interment will be private.

I only had the privilege of knowing Chris for a few short years..Deeply saddened to hear of his passing

The rains fall soft apon your fields & until we meet again may god hold you in the palm of his hand.
Chris and I had some great battles playing pool against each other and we both enjoyed the competition and most of all bragging rights.... I look forward to the day we meet again,.....

I am so sorry for your lose. It is the worst nightmare a mother and father can ever endeavor. I loss my son to cancer a year ago. Yes, your life has changed forever. A large piece of your heart is gone. My heart is so full of sadness. Try to remember all the happy times that you had together. This will help you. Lisa and family, I know that nothing can take away the pain, but I pray that God, family and friends will somehow help you through this hardest of times. It hurts to hear about Chris. Even though we had few and brief encounters I will always remember our conversations. I liked him,considered him family,and kept him in my prayers all these years. The only comfort I can give you is that you will see him again one day! My heart goes out to you all. Chris, I'm sorry you left so soon. May you be at peace in the arms of God and be united with all who love you one day. May you know how much you are loved.

Lisa and Chris I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful son Chris. I remember when you were pregnant with him Lisa, and then gave birth and the amazing cute little boy he was!!
