A graduate of the Foote School, the Masters School and Smith College, her intellectual curiosity, engagement with the world, love of books, friends and devotion to family marked her life.
In 1942 she married Francis Cook Dixon, who predeceased her in 1997. For over 50 years they shared a wonderful love apparent to all. She was an accomplished real estate broker both in suburban Montreal and later at Wood Associates in Greenwich where she lived for over twenty years. She will be missed and always remembered by her children for the values she embraced which have motivated and made them who they are. Her valiant courage and ultimate demise from cancer has inspired many.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Palmer Dixon and his wife, Barbara Saslaw Dixon; a daughter, Jenny Dixon Boone and her husband, John Rowan Boone, and daughter Cynthia Dixon Adam, her husband C. Randal Adam and their children Rachel, Tyler and Jessica. Additionally, she is mourned by her devoted friend of recent years, Clement Despard.
