Daniel Kulp Obituary
He was born April 27, 1980 in Charleston, S.C., to Henry and Peggy Kulp. Dan attended Preston public schools and Norwich Free Academy. He was employed at Foxwoods Casino and self employed as a general contractor.
Dan had a special bond with his grandfather, Hedley Fost, and spent summers in Newfoundland with his grandparents and relatives. He was a "Newfie" at heart and acquired his love for fishing while on the island.
Dan is survived by his parents of Preston; his grandfather of Heart's Delight, Newfoundland; his brother, Garrett, and sister-in-law, Julie, of Norwich; 13 aunts and uncles and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Sadie Fost; his paternal grandparents, Garrett and Isabelle Kulp; and his aunt, Helen Emerson.
Family and friends will be gathering Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home, 490 Voluntown Rd., Rt. 138, Jewett City. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's name to the Salvation Army, Newfoundland and Labrador East Division, 21 Adam's Ave., St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada A1C 4Z1.

To Dan's Family and Friends,
I have never met you all but my daughter dated Dan for a short time. My heart is saddened by the news of what happened. We had the privilage of meeting Dan for the first time at our home on a night we lost power due to a storm!. He just made light of the whole situaction and said lets order pizza and eat by candle light. He made us laugh the rest of the night! which we will never forget that!. It was a pleasure to have met him, and im so sorry he had been taken from this world so young. Please accept our deepest condolences.
