David Grimes Obituary
Mr. Grimes was born on Aug. 11, 1955, in New London to Leslie Grimes Jr. and Barbara (Crockett) Grimes.
David was a self-employed electrician for many years.
He was a sports fan who loved the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He was an avid golfer for many years and enjoyed his country western movies and The Duke: John Wayne.
Mr. Grimes is survived by his sister, Cindy Green and husband, Donnie Green; nieces, Heather Green and husband, James Oldfield, Melissa Seckla and husband, Tim Seckla; as well as great-nieces and nephew, Delana, Maddie, and Chris, all of Old Lyme. He leaves behind many close friends who were very good to him. He is also survived by his canine companion, Zeke.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, in Duck River Cemetery, Old Lyme.
