Eleanor M. Andaloro

Pawcatuck - Eleanor M. (Cini) Andaloro of Pawcatuck, beloved wife of Joseph A. Andaloro, peacefully passed away at 5:50 p.m. June 14, 2024, at the age of 81. She was surrounded by lifelong friends and family.

Born in New London, she was the only child of the late Bruno and Alba Cini.

Eleanor grew up in Mystic and first worked at the Mystic Seaport. She then earned her bachelor's degree at Elmira College. After working for years as a teacher, she left her job to take care of her family full-time. Eleanor was truly a supermom who cared tremendously for her children.

Eleanor was also a devoted wife of 60 years. She was a loyal friend who maintained relationships with her best friends for over 70 years. Eleanor loved to travel and vacation in places such as Italy, France, Japan, the Caribbean islands, and Hawaii. She also loved genealogy and sitting outside in the sun on nice days, talking with her neighbors. Two of her favorite places to spend time were Watch Hill and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Eleanor also loved movies and music from the 1950s, the opera, and dogs such as her daughter Susan's beloved Amika.

In addition to her loving husband, Joseph, Eleanor is survived by her two children, Steven J. Andaloro of Seattle, Wash., and Susan Andaloro of Pawcatuck.
