Elliott Joslin Obituary
He was born in Boston on Sept. 7, 1936, the son of Allen P. Joslin, M.D. and Barbara (Bonney) Joslin Jackson. He was a graduate of Yale University and continued his love of learning throughout his life. Among his many endeavors, he worked for "Candid Camera" and built scenery for off-Broadway plays during the 1960s.
He then moved his family to Noank, where he ran the Old Stonington Foundry. He continued his foundry work at Daystar Farm in Preston, pouring keels for sailboats. During this time, Elliott was actively committed to the peace movement in New England. A humanist and a man of caring, both in his work and in his life, he shared freely of himself and his talents.
He is survived by his loving partner, Mary Ann Walker of Petersham; three children and their spouses, Allen and Jo Anne Joslin of Preston, Rachel and Keith Whitehouse of Winchester, Mass., and David Joslin and Nancy Anton of East Hampton; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Donovan of Port Washington, N.Y., and his former wife, Herta Payson of Groton.

We all have lost a gentle, kind friend and neighbor. He was a long time family friend of my parents and our family, while living at Buffalo Hill, his memory will be forever remembered and cherished.

Worcester Friends Meerting is deeply saddened by the passing of its clerk emeritus, Elliott. We offer our deepest sympathies to his family and to Mary Anne. The meeting for worship last Sunday was blessed by many fond memories of this remarkable Friend.
