Enza Papandrea Obituary

Groton - Enza Papandrea, 63, of Groton, entered eternal life Oct. 4, 2025, in the company of her beloved husband Vincent. She was born July 29, 1962, in Calabria, Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa (Nigro) Lombardo.

She married Vincent Papandrea Dec. 27, 1987, in Italy and later moved to the U.S. settling in Groton. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in New London.

In addition to Vincent, she is survived by two children, Stephanie Barnhill of Houston, Texas, and Vittorio Papandrea of Groton; two grandchildren, Rosalina and Xavia; her sister Maria Lombardo of Italy; and two nephews, Marco and Riccardo.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Avenue, New London. The funeral will assemble at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St. Joseph Church, 149 Montauk Avenue, New London. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
