Your dad was our hero in High School and he will remain that always. He was kind, gentle, caring and understanding and always had a smile for us. He lives on in you and your children and you both have and will continue to make him proud. I feel honored and blessed to know your family and I will keep your dad in my heart and prayers always. Much love, Tara Henwood Butzbaugh

Mark: Your dad was a "cops cop" and that is the greatest compliment I can give to any man who served with the professionalism and integrity with which he served. I go back a long, long way with your dad. I am proud to have served along side of him. I always felt safe knowing he had my back when I needed it. We had our fun but we did our job and we did it well. I loved him and I will miss him. I know his blood runs deep within you and for that, you can be very, very proud. God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

I was laughing about all the good memories We had back in the eighties in Wilton Police Explorer Post 58. The police Academy in Westover AFB, the camp outs when we made nose at 0200AM up in Torrington. I can still hear your Fathers laughing and at times when were kids getting mad and yelling at us. Man they were great. My prayers are with you and your family. Godbless. And Ernie if your listening up their, as The Late Bob Hope used to say "Thanks for The Memories"
